I have been loving my android phone for a couple of years now. I also don’t take change lightly, so I’ve been slow and methodical about my next phone choice. The Swede got an iPhone 5 for Christmas so I’ve had a chance to give the iPhone a test drive, and I wasn’t in love. I really, really liked the android operating system so it became a matter of which phone was I going to choose.
Then the folks at Microsoft approached me to take the Windows Phone Challenge. Give up my beloved android phone for thirty days and replace it with a Windows Phone. I didn’t know much about the Windows phones except that I had seen promotional videos that implied that it helped you do things faster. I was intrigued.
This is the phone that I was provided. It’s an Windows Phone 8X by HTC. I have service with T-Mobile. If setup is any indication of what the challenge will be like, we’re off to a GREAT start. After picking up a mini SIM, I was up and running in less than five minutes. No exaggeration. Pretty amazing!
Follow along here at kimworld.com to see my experience over the next thirty days. I love to take photos, try new apps, catch up on news and organize my life (calls, emails, etc.) with my phone so I’ll be interested to see how the Windows Phone compares with my old android phone.
Do you have a Windows Phone? What’s your favorite thing about it?
Disclosure: I was provided a complimentary Windows Phone 8X by HTC with no strings attached. I chose to participate in the Windows Phone Challenge myself and all opinions are my own…as per usual.
