I love waterfront dining all year long. There’s just something about the water that makes it feel like a retreat. So I was excited when my friends at Pier 6 in Charlestown invited me and a group of my blogger friends to taste some of the menu offerings.
Pier 6 is super easy to get to especially if you are looking for lunch spots near downtown Boston. It’s a quick drive, taxi rider, or uber/lyft share – just a few minutes. AND the restaurant has a lot adjacent to the restaurant (can you hear the angels singing?!?)
Before you even get in the restaurant, you’ll get a peek of the skyline. There are also great views of the Navy Yard and the USS Constitution.
Once inside, the view only gets better! This delightful beverage is called Two’s A Pear.
We tasted from the lunch menu and here are some of my faves.
This is the housemade gnocchi with wild mushrooms. Perfect comfort food.
This is the braised short rib melt. Mmmm. Still dreaming about his one.
Pier 6 menu is packed full of fresh seafood like lobster, oysters, and more. We tried a few options including the lobster roll and local oysters. Delicious!
The menu is really a mix of New England favorites. You’ll find a little bit of something for everyone on it.
I love when the attention to detail in a restaurant extends past the food and into the surroundings. The view of the skyline and the water are beautifully showcased on the inside and on the outdoor roof deck.
If you go:
1 8th Street
Parking in adjacent lot available for a charge.
