Lunch in the Seaport District at Ocean Prime Boston

I’m always on the lookout for a new lunch spot. If you are looking for a spot for a meeting over lunch or even just an outing for colleagues, there are a lot of aspects that go into finding that perfect locale. I usually look for some place that has awesome food, good value, and a great environment.

A few colleagues and I were invited to lunch at Ocean Prime Boston recently, and I think I’ve found a new go-to recommendation for the Seaport area.

First, Ocean Prime Boston is super convenient. The restaurant is walkable from most places in the Seaport district. If you’re driving, there is street parking and a convenient parking lot right across the street.

And it is gorgeous. Just take a look at the space here in these photos.

Their private dining rooms would be a great event space for a luncheon or a board meeting in Boston.

Executive Chef Mitchell Brumels has put together a wonderful (and affordable) three course $25 Prime Lunch Feature. Power lunching has never been more delicious.

The choices for the prix fixe lunch include the following:

First Course: Point Judith Calamari, Creamy Clam Chowder or Ocean Prime House Salad

Entrée: Parmesan Crusted Chicken Caesar, Teriyaki Salmon served with Shiitake Sticky Rice and Soy Butter Sauce or Petite Filet served with Whipped Potatoes, Haricots Verts and Cabernet Jus

Dessert “Indulgences”: Chef’s Selection of Hand Spun Sorbet or Five Layer Carrot Cake

I sampled the calamari (served with a delicious sweet chili sauce), the teriyaki salmon, and the carrot cake for my inaugural Prime Lunch. All three courses were delicious, and it left my mouth watering for my next visit.

Here’s a look at my meal.

A couple of other items of note from the menu include the brussel sprouts which were perfect side items.

The zero proof cocktail, lavender citrus soda, was a fun way to enjoy a beverage without falling under your desk for the rest of the day.

These scallops were prepared perfectly.

And, finally, this chocolate peanut butter cake. If you like chocolate and peanut butter, it’s worth a trip. SO. GOOD.

If you go:
